“Something’s Gotta Give”
VINCENT HAS A TARGET ON HIS BACK – While working to uncover who is after Vincent (Jay Ryan), Cat (Kristin Kreuk) discovers she might be pregnant. A lead Vincent follows puts his life in jeopardy. Meanwhile, J.T. (Austin Basis) gets kidnapped in a case of mistaken identity. Nina Lisandrello and Nicole Gale Anderson also star. Steven A. Adelson directed the episode, written by John E. Episode 4:
Coffee shop. Cat looks at a woman with a baby. Heather meets her. Cat was waiting for Vincent. They've been working a lot and missing each other. Cat isn't bothered by the baby crying. Heather told Kyle that Cat is a DHS agent. Cat's not happy about that. Heather leaves.
JT swearing in the new office. Need more power. Heather arrives. JT says this place isn't wired for what Cat needs. Heather says can't you bring in extension cords or something? JT having issues with Tess.
vincent in the ER. Pulling a double shift. Helped deliver 3 babies last night. Cat's on the way to DHS. She misses Vincent. He misses her, too.
Cat meets Dorothy. Dep. Dir. didn't show for work. Cat says he called me 20 minutes ago. Gets his home address. She calls Vincent.
Hill being water tortured. His family tied up. Cat breaks in. Vincent on the balcony. The bad man ends up over the balcony after they stop him from shooting anyone.
They meet up at Cat's new office. Vincent is frazzled. Hill calls and wants to see them right away. JT says we have big problems. News is on the blogosphere. They're convinced DHS is hiding something. JT has an idea. It's risky. Vincent's going to get the car.
Cat thanks Heather. heather asks about the pregnancy test? Cat says it's not what you think and none of your business. Cat doesn't know. I'm late, that's all. Heather tells her to go to the ladies room across the hall. Cat needs to go see Hill now, so no.
Hill's office. he wants to put an end to this. Vincent agrees. hill rattled some cages and pulled some strings. An accountant. For a Russian crime boss. Albert wants to flip on Voynov. He knows to look for you. Do you have kids?
Meeting the accountant at his kid's private school. Vincent and Cat bickering. He asks if she's mad at him. You're sharp with me lately. He doesn't know about kids. We barely have time for ourselves. She says no, fine, I get it. He says I didn't say that! Into the open house....
JT in a suit meets a group as an Agent Morrison. They ask for ID. He shows something. He says DHS is concerned for your safety. Woman says we know there's a beast around the city. JT says people are getting killed and DHS doesn't want you to be next. There are terrorists looking for any edge possible. They tase him. Quick, grab the beast.
Cat and Vincent talking to a school official. Starts at 2 years old. She asks Cat how far along she is. He says 12 weeks. The woman will get them a financial assistance package. A baby cries and he cringes. Cat spots the accountant. He goes in the building an a smoke bomb goes off.
He's been grabbed by masked men. Another smoke bomb. Vincent lost him. Can't track in tear gas. Cat says we're back to square one.
The apartment. Cat brought the wife and kids. The boys are rambunctious. Cat asks about Demetri Voynov. Wife hasn't heard the name. Boys break a lamp. Wife says Albert and I have drifted apart since I got pregnant with Jason. We lost each other. Boys break something else.
Cat meets with Tess. Tess wanted a head's up. Cat says it was just supposed to be a simple meet. Tess says the accountant has only been making money as an CPA up to 4 years ago. Cat says this all doesn't make sense. Tess asks what's up with her? You're mopey and defensive. Cat says I'm LATE. Oh. Exactly. Cat admits she hasn't peed on the stick. I don't want to deal with it, and Vincent doesn't either. It's way too complicated. She asks Tess to check with JT. Tess says we broke up. Cat says I'm just asking you to work with him.
JT wakes up chained. Where am I? What are you doing to me? They want him to show what he's got. Beast. JT starts laughing. I'm not a beast! You're crazy! You got this all wrong. They're insistent. JT says I'm the farthest thing from super human. I'm just a.....I don't even know. Used to know. Then I quit my job, lost my girl. I was just trying to do the right thing. I'm nobody.
Vincent in the hall. Cat comes home. Did you find Albert? No. But I found this. They're place is trashed. You were supposed to keep an eye on them. Wife apologizes. Boys are in your bedroom sleeping. Vincent says it's not okay. Wife got a ransom demand for 2 million. Cat says something isn't right. She asks Vincent why he couldn't track him? He gives good reasons. Cat did what she could, too. They're arguing - until Cat says at least you aren't worried about being pregnant!
Vincent apologizes. Cat apologizes. He hugs her. Really? You really think you're pregnant? She doesn't know....haven't taken the test. I was afraid to find out. It would overload us and we'd end up like Judy and her husband. We're already struggling. He says it's different. She questions that. He says we'll make it work. If we've learned anything, we can do anything if we do it together. Kisses and a hug again. Ready to pee, yet? Yeah, but I need to find Albert more. Vincent will try to track him. Boys break something again.
heather tells Tess that she can't find JT. They find him in the parking structure. he says I was kidnapped. Bloggers with a stun gun. Tess asks if he needs the hospital. No. Just a shrink. I don't want to talk about it.
Vincent using his senses. Tracking an SUV.
Tess gives Cat a file. JT says there's nothing on Albert. He's a ghost. Tess says we can't find a connection to Voynov. Cat suggests Interpol. Heather asks if she peed. Tess says she'll get to it when she gets to it.
Vincent in a junkyard. Men with guns. Albert tied up. Vincent starts taking out the men. Finds Albert. Why'd they kidnap you? Albert says he doesn't know. Vincent says Voynov had nothing to do with it.
Albert is a professional assassin. Being an accountant is a cover. Cat says Vincent is in trouble.
Vincent asks what do you do for a living? Albert says I'm an accountant. Vincent says that's not true. Your wife is a little confused. 2 million dollars she doesn't know you have. Albert says we don't talk much now. Albert wanted a meet with Vincent. Your rep proceeds you. He pulls a gun and Vincent is gone. But there's a blood trail! Vincent has a gut wound. Vincent's doing his best to avoid him.
Cat in the car. Tells the team to keep looking.
Albert now knows why he was told to be careful with Vincent. What are you? Experiment gone wrong? Vincent asks who sent you? Albert doesn't say, and he wasn't told to capture. Vincent tries to run and collapses outside. Albert wishes he knew how Vincent moves so fast. Thanks for saving me, by the way. Cat shoots him in the back. Hurries to Vincent.
Vincent in the ER. Doc says he'll be okay if he behaves as a patient. Vincent dresses to go home. Cat says whoever's behind the bounty knows who you are. Vincent says and worse, they want to kill me. Not much time to lay low.
JT holds the cue stick wrong. Tess shows him correctly. He asks what she's doing here? Tess says she misses him. But it is what it is. You have to figure out who you are and what you want. Just be smart about your search. Don't be a hero. Just be you. JT doesn't know how. She says the bloggers took down the site. You did a good thing. He says you came down here to give me a pep talk? She says yeah, and free beer. He calls her a wise-ass.
Cat took the test. Well? Negative. He asks if she's disappointed. She doesn't know. I liked the thought of it. You must be relieved. He says no, okay, a little bit. I want kids, I just would hate for them to go through what I did. He remembers Tori. She says it's probably for the best. Someone's got a target on your back and we're running out of time. What do we do? He tells her to cuddle in.
Next week - Vincent sees an alternate timeline. What would've happened if Cat never met him?
