“Due Process”
LAUREL STEPS IN TO HELP OLIVER — Slabside becomes even more dangerous after a guard is murdered and everyone is a suspect. Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) enlists help from a surprising source in her pursuit of Diaz (Kirk Acevedo), and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) flexes her muscles as the District Attorney. Episode 6:
Anatoly held captive. Diaz holding an ax. You betrayed me after I trusted you. I gave you my friendship. Anatoly says a man like you has no friends. Diaz says where are your friends now? Oliver Queen, the Arrow team, they're all gone, brother. You picked the losing side. Anatoly says what are you waiting for? Kill me. Diaz says not yet. You're going to help me destroy Oliver Queen. Then he tortures Anatoly, burning him.
Oliver and the buddy. Guard picks on Brick. Dunbar now treats him like dirt. He comes to tell Oliver time to go. Not telling you again. You have a visitor.
It's Laurel. She says be more grateful, Ollie. I had to file an emergency injunction to get to see you. She takes a photo of his injuries. Oliver doesn't believe she's working with Felicity. He wonders what's in it for him. You're the reason Diaz got away in the first place. She says the Ollie I knew had a hard time taking responsibility for his failures, too. He says you're nothing like Laurel. You never will be. Ever. Stay away from my wife. He walks away.
20 year future. William can't believe Felicity is dead. Dinah offers a drink. It was a couple weeks ago. She was murdered. We wanted her to join us. She called herself the Calculator and cut herself off. William says she still sent me this signal. I need to know why. He brings up the map. Zoe says it's crazy. He says he's come this far. He's not stopping now.
Laurel returns to her office. Felicity following Silencer's signal. Bratva was massacred 2 nights ago. Laurel tells her what Oliver said. He doesn't want me representing him. Felicity is not changing counsel now. She got a hit on Diaz. Laurel says we have to move before they change locations.
In the field. Rene meets up. Silencer and Diaz are inside. Are you in? He pulls his gun. They search. Sound goes out. They find Anatoly in a crate. Police rush in. Felicity finds the belt with the tracker. Rene spots a bomb. They all run outside.
ARGUS. John asks Felicity how she ended up in the middle of his op. Again. Laurel tells them about the tracker. Rene admits they captured Silencer. Lots of surprisingly reveals of how they didn't talk. Curtis says you forgot my birthday. Felicity says your party is next week, act surprised. They kick Laurel out. Laurel marches off and Felicity runs after her begging. This is my chance to get Oliver out of prison. Please. Laurel sometimes hates being your Laurel. Felicity promises to call when they catch Diaz and we will finish this like we planned.
William and Zoe. She tried to keep in touch. He says it was easier for me to move on. Roy can't believe the kids are full grown adults. He tells Dinah about a Mark he saw on Oliver's bow. Dinah wonders if they can trust William.
Little guy is going to the hole. Officer Dunbar was killed last night. He swears to Oliver it wasn't him.
Oliver asks the gang about Dunbar's murder. Brick, Stanley didn't kill that guard. Brick says then the truth will set him free. Oliver says if you or anyone in your crew has something to do with this, I'll find out.
ARGUS. Former KGB goon. Anatoly says we were associates and had a falling out. Diaz wants to buy a weapon to destroy the city. Anatoly doesn't want to play hero again. Time for me to go somewhere nice. Maldives maybe. Felicity threatens to put him on the Most Wanted list.
Anatoly cleaned up and sent in. KGBeast is here to see your boss. Pietr says I'm sorry about the Bratva. Thanks him for sending the Dragon his way. Offers various things that fell off a truck. LOL. Pietr, let's sit down like friends. Drink. On rocks. Please. John spots Incoming. The drive still needs time to download. Felicity says keep him talking. Pietr calls him a snake. Anatoly grabs the drive and tries to go and gets beat on for his trouble. John comes in shooting. Felicity's glad Anatoly's holding the drive even though he's unconscious.
ARGUS. How's Anatoly? Out cold for a few hours. Felicity just happy to get the data. John says you coerced him into taking this risk. You pushed me out. Risked innocent lives. She says don't lecture me when you haven't been around. I'll do anything it takes to end this. John hopes when this war is over, she still comes out a hero.
Oliver uses a distraction to talk to Stanley. He's been beaten. I'd never hurt anyone. Oliver will find out what really happened.
Starts investigating. Loose tile. And the murder weapon.
Laurel in court. Judge says this is highly unusual. Laurel is here as an officer of the court. Oliver Queen has been harassed, tortured, and assaulted. He had an opportunity to escape Slabside and stayed to smuggle out info to help his fellow inmates. She goes on about how the FBI failed to catch Diaz. The hardest thing is to be a hero when no one expects it of you. Since they have not help their end of the deal, Oliver Queen should be a free man. Judge rules for a federal investigation, but not appealing the conviction.
Curtis and Felicity translated Pietr's data. John's preparing a mass evac of Star City.
Oliver goes at Turner. Blade says you killed Dunbar. Guards found prints on it. Turner insists he didn't do this.
Anatoly awake. Felicity asks how he's feeling. Head is pounding. She apologizes. He says you're not new Felicity Smoak after all. You want to be ruthless? Chase mad man? I won't judge you. You can't take away mistake by wishing it so. You make choice. You don't look back. Demons you choose to live with. How bad you want to kill Ricardo Diaz? Then you embrace demons. You remind me of Oliver in Russia. She asks what he would've done? Anatoly says he would've ended Diaz and not cared about the cost.
Dinah stops Laurel from using her power against the judge. Did you bother listening to yourself in court? You have a heart. The easiest path is to be a criminal. Dinah says don't throw away your changes because it's getting hard. Laurel says don't come to my work again.
20 years. Provide credentials or you will be terminated. 20 seconds. Shoot the bouncing balls. Roy takes them down. 1 second left. Access granted. William brings up the last file used. Structural maps of all the buildings in Star City. A plan to level all of it.
ARGUS. Felicity says Diaz does worry about the cost. He wants to make a statement. What's the statement worthy of the Dragon? A river of gas will go off under the city. John says call the whole team, we need all the help we can get on this one.
Anatoly, Felicity, and Dinah. Curtis and John. Finding all the bombs. Timers activated manually.
Diaz wants to watch the fireworks.
Felicity and Curtis working. Curtis needs more time. Back-up detonator. Cellphone transmitter. Curtis tells Rene to go.
John shoots at Diaz. Flamethrower in return.
3:35 left.
Dinah dodges. Fights with Silencer.
Rene in it. John and Diaz.
Curtis can't wait any longer. He and Felicity type. Password accepted. Now we run.
Diaz says impressive. But pointless. New Arrow drops in and fights him. John joins in. Longbow Hunters escape. But Diaz is unconscious.
News covers the capture. New Arrow gets credit. We do all the work, he gets the credit. Dinah is happy SCPD will get this over the Feds.
Laurel meeting Oliver again. Your copy of the court's ruling. He's still sniping. But the judge ordered an investigation into Slabside. He thanks her. She says I didn't do it for you, I did it for me. I'm me. Everyone had a good side and bad side.You can't put people in one box or the other. Ever.
Felicity texts her about having Diaz.
Anatoly drinking. Felicity gives him a passport. Jason Brown from Colorado. He gives her a gun. Now don't look back.
William says Felicity wouldn't do something like this. Maybe she backed out and died because of is. Dinah says following this lead means taking a risk. William says there was a time when all of us loved her. Isn't finding out what happened worth the risk? She last called Black Star. Zoe says if this gets me killed, I'm going to murder you.
Felicity visits Diaz. You don't scare me. He doesn't believe it. She says the camera is off. You took my husband from me. I had to send my son away. You destroyed my life. She pulls the gun. He says you don't have the guts. She says I do. I do have the guts because you made me into this person. He says go ahead. Sweetheart, this is the big boy's table. You should leave. Laurel comes in and says don't. You don't want to do this! We need him to help Oliver. I made a deal with the Feds. Diaz for Oliver. He'll be a free man again. Felicity turns to her. Oliver's coming home? Yeah.
Stanley out. Oliver is glad he's okay. How did you know it was Turner's blade? You were in the hole. Stanley says I must've heard it somewhere.
Next ep - Diaz broke into the prison. Riot. Oliver comes for him.
