“Truth and Consequences”
DAVID RAMSEY (“ARROW”) DIRECTS THE EPISODE — We pick up right where we left off with Jon-El (Jordan Elsass) smirking at Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch), who is still standing on the porch with Jordan (Alex Garfin). Jon-El catches sight of his doppelganger Jonathan (Jordan Elsass), standing not too far away. He lunges at him and Jordan tries to intervene but Jon-El appears to be stronger and faster than him. Tyler Hoechlin, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Dylan Walsh, Erik Valdez, Inde Navarrette, Wole Parks, Sofia Hasmik, and Taylor Hack also star. The episode was directed by David Ramsey and written by Andrew N. Wong (#211). Original airdate 5/3/2022.
Episode 11:
Jonathan and Jon-El. Jordan rushes to try to save his brother. Jon-El starts merging them. Superman rushes in to break them up. Lois runs to Jonathan. Clark saved him. Jon-El flies away.
Lois says that's a lot to process. Clark says he wasn't strong enough to stop Ally. Lois says they won't let Jon take Jonathan. Yellow sun should weaken him. Jonathan hasn't had visions, yet. A weird brain freeze feeling tonight. Lois leaves to see if John Henry is still awake. Clark tells Jonathan he loves him. I won't let anything happen to you.
Jordan texting someone. Lois says it's not a good time to text Sarah. He wants to fix it with her. Lois says you've been distracted. Sarah needs time to think and so do you. When she is working out a big problem, she writes it down in a letter. Try that. Instead of texting. Car arrives.
John says it'll take time to figure this out. Not sure they have tech that will work. Jon gets his first migraine.
Jon-El is outside the diner. Clark arrives. Lana comes out and hugs him. You were gone for a month! He apologizes and says he has to go. She says they'll catch up another time. Jon-El is gone when Clark looks again.
**I miss the lighting scheme and color palette of Smallville. It was pretty.
Clark returns to the house. I've been gone a month? 33 days. He says it was a day, maybe, in the other world. Lois tells him Lana won the election. He's thrilled. Anything else I should know about?
He asks Jonathan what he was thinking about the drugs. Jon gets defensive. I lied to protect someone else. Dad lied to protect his secret. Clark says the secret does protect this family. Jon thinks the other world doesn't sound that bad. Ruh roh.
John Henry's place. Nat's worried. He says you can't spiral out at the worse case scenario. There's nothing I won't do to keep you safe. Hear me? Cause I really need your help if this thing will get finished in time.
Sarah and Lana. Lana talks about the Clark encounter. There's always a side of him that's.....not present. Sarah says Jordan was like that, too. Sarah packed some boxes for Lana's office. Lana says we should put them in your car. She and Kyle agree she's earned the keys. Only drive in Smallville. Let me know where you are at all times. Sarah, I'll meet you at the office.
Johnathan and Jordan. Jordan's writing his thoughts. Johnathan teases him. Let me see it. Takes it and started reading. Are you really going to give this to Sarah? Yeah.
Sarah bumps into Jon-El! I just landed. He's a jerk. She continues out of her driveway.
And he enters Lana's house and attacks her.
**Jon-El went from wanting to save people because it was right to.....this. Fame plus Ally really twisted that boy.
**Funny that Clark spent all that time telling the family about Bizarro World but Lois didn't bother to try to catch him up until Lana told him he was gone a month. Ooops!
City Hall. Lois looking for Lana. Sarah says it's okay to wait. Offers coffee. I heard about you and Jordan. Apologizes he's been unpredictable. Sarah asks if he's okay. Yes, we're just going through some personal things. Commends Sarah's maturity. Lois says every guy I dated was about pissing off my dad. She hasn't told Clark about the guys she dated in high school. Everyone is dealing with something. Sarah asks what's going on with Jonathan? She tells Lois about it and Lois says I have to go.
Hurries home and tells Clark that Jon has Lana. Jonathan freaking out. Jordan freaking out. They think the secret has put Lana in danger.
John Henry and Nat working on their device. Affects power in the whole town. We need a lot more energy.
Jon-El working on something. Lana is still unconscious. He puts the pendant on her. It's time. Come. She's chained up.
Sarah looking for her mom. She left the house an hour ago. Lana's missing calls. Sarah's going to check on her at home.
Lois explains to Jordan what she talked about with Sarah. He insists it's big to him. You shouldn't have talked to her without asking me first. Lois says you're right but there's a dangerous version of your brother out there, so can we please cut each other some slack? He hears something. Sarah arrives. Something happened to my mom.
Sarah tells them there was a busted cabinet and glass all over the floor. Lois tells Sarah to go back to the office and I'll reach out the moment I hear anything. Jordan stops Sarah. He wants to tell her how he really feels. I wrote it all down. It's in here. Sarah doesn't want the letter. Lois says she's sorry.
John and Nat arrive at the portal. She thinks it's kind of beautiful. He says let's get what we came for. XK. He brought a tool to cut it out.
Lana wakes. What are we doing here? She says you're not making sense. Your parents are worried about you. He says you don't know my parents. Those people look like them. Like you look like the Lana from my world. Don't worry. Superman will be here soon.
Clark returns home. Can't find Lana anywhere. Lois tells him about Sarah's visit. Lying to her felt so gross. Clark says his dad insisted he had to keep the secret. She says they trust the family to know what to do with the truth. Jon gets a vision. Slaughterhouse. Lois tells Clark to go and save Lana.
Superman busts in. Jon and Lana. Jon-El says part of her wants this. Superman won't let him harm her. He fire breathes and Superman deflects it. Which then gets him shot with Kryptonite. He pleads with Jon. You don't have to do this. Jon stabs him with a big shard. Tell Lana I'll be back soon.
Portal is moving. Nat and John Henry see Lana Rho arrive. Mrs. Cushing? Not Mrs Cushing.
John Henry has Nat run. Lana Rho goes after him.
Jonathan in pain. Jordan goes out to confront Jon-El. They clash.
Lana has to pull the Kryptonite out.
Lana Rho says move or you die. John shoots her with XK. Oh crap.
Jon beats on Jordan. Lois yells at him to stop. Then she yells for Clark.
Lana's still pulling shards.
Rho about to kill John Henry. Nat drives her off.
Jordan's bloody.
Lana gets the small ones out. Only the big one left. Yanks it. He's up. Breaks her chains. I'll be right back.
Jon-El hits Jordan again and again. Jordan grabs his fist. Who's the weak one now? Takes the fight to Jon into the sky! Sends Jon-El flying. And falling. But Jordan's falling until Superman catches him. They return to the farm. Jordan slugs Jon-El. This is for my brother. Yay for yellow sun.
Superman brings Lana home. Thanks for the help today. This is the second time you've helped me save lives. He explains that the Jon she saw today was from a different world entirely. Like yours? Something like that. She wants to keep things quiet for the kids. He tells her she's a good friend. She invites him to come in. He says your family will be worried about you. She has to call Sarah.
Nat tells her father no leaving the house without the hammer. He gets the idea to close the portal. Nat brings up the AI after he leaves.
Lois with the boys. Jordan tells her to read the letter. You were going to tell Sarah your secret? Don't you get we're on your side? It feels like we keep drifting apart as a family. Jonathan says maybe we're not that close to begin with. Clark returns. Lana doesn't know who I am. Maybe the secret shouldn't be safe. I came back here first because we're a family and this decision would affect all of us. They say absolutely. He says wish me luck.
Lana tells Sarah she's on the way to the office now. Tells Sarah the day got away from her. Then hangs up. Because Clark's standing in the road. He says I need to talk to you. There's something .....I've wanted to tell you my entire life. She wants to hear it, but she's had the longest day. You have no idea what I've been through. He says I was there. I was with you. What are you talking about? He takes his glasses off. And floats. Ice breath on a tree. You're Superman!
Next ep - Lana and Lois talk. May 31. John Henry says you can't save everyone. Superman says I have to try.
