“Collision Course”
TRUTH – Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) attempts to interview Peia (guest star Daya Vaida) in the hopes of unearthing the truth about an old case, while Clark (Tyler Hoechlin) struggles to spend quality time with the boys. Meanwhile, Jonathan (Michael Bishop) and Jordan (Alex Garfin) find themselves at a party where tensions between Sarah (Inde Navarrette) and Jordan come to a head. As Kyle’s (Erik Valdez) suspicions about a local meta-human grow, Lana (Emmanuelle Chriqui) must juggle her personal life with a visit from the governor. Finally, Matteo (guest star Spence Moore II) makes a life-altering decision. Elaine Mongeon directed the episode written by Max Cunningham & Max Kronick (#310). Original airdate 5/30/2023.

Lois says breast cancer has been the fight of my life, and finally, chemo is over. But this journey is now about me. Cancer has affected everyone I love. Sam and Jordan holding flowers. Lois says you gave me hope to see this day, and I love you all. Especially you (Clark). Screw cancer! She rings the bell. Then hugs him.
Home. Lois' office is back together downstairs. Lois still doesn't think publishing the story was right. Sam barely agreed to let Matteo visit. Lois wants to talk to Peia. Clark says he'll stay and hang with the boys. She tells him to do something fun.
Lana trying to pick an outfit for meeting the governor. She's a big deal. Could lead to big things for us. State senator. Congress. At least get Smallville to get some good press. Sarah asks if it's weird Chrissy will be there. Grandma is picking them up in an hour. Lana tells Sarah to text if she goes somewhere. Leaves. Sarah gets a text from George Jr.
Chrissy and Kyle. He shows her photos from the fire with ice inside. Someone in Smallville has powers. You should write about it. She says she can't write about this. It looks like freon. He says it's not refrigerant. I would've smelled it. She says this person, if they're real, is trying to help. He thinks the town deserves the truth after all it's been through. It's a big story. She's not budging. So he leaves her to work.
Boys playing a video game. Clark asks to do something fun. They're still playing. Maybe fly somewhere. He says how about I come up with something and we do that. Cool. Jon gets texted that there's a senior kegger at the fairgrounds. Sarah is going. Jon's calling Candice. Jordan says they just made plans with Dad. Jon says So what? Dad cancels on us all the time for Superman stuff. Ooooo
Bruno looking for Matteo. Follow me. Cufflinks. Bruno starts putting them on. You don't need to be nervous, son. You can be alone with your mother. She's dying, Matteo. It'll be hard to see her like this, but, she needs you. We both do. Matteo says he's ready.
**Ugh, teenagers. You're 16, not 10. Stop bitching that Daddy has world-saving commitments. This isn't a new thing anymore.
Clark speeds in excited. Wrestling event in Metropolis! We used to go all the time! Jon says we already have plans. We're going to hang with Candice and Sarah. We'll do something else more fun soon, I promise. Aww, poor Clark.
Sam warning Lois that Peia won't be cooperative. She's not long for this world. Lois enters anyway. Peia hoped it was Matteo. Lois asks if she's comfortable. Much as i can be. Really good painkillers. All done with chemo? Yeah. Mastectomy's in 2 days. I missed having you to talk to. Peia says cancer makes strange bedfellows. Lois says things are getting written about you no matter what. Here's your chance to tell your story. Devoted wife. Loving mother. Friend. I promise I'll be fair. Peia agrees. Lois turns on her phone to record.
Chrissy tells Lana there's a problem with Kyle. Governor arrives, so they can't continue. Governor Wexler. Brought press. Walk me through what happened here.
Jon and Jordan. You're the first person to rip Superman's heart out. Heh. Candice there. She Jon kiss. Jordan looks for Sarah at the party. She's talking to George Jr. Jordan's acting awkward and jealous. Sarah tells him to grab a beer.
Clark comes to DOD. Tells Sam the boys ditched on him. Sam says just be glad they don't hate you. He turns on audio to listen to Lois and Peia. It's been back story, but I think Lois is about to get her on the hook.
Peia and Bruno weren't dating long before the murder. Lois says I think that was you, not Lex. Your powers did that. You and Bruno killed Boss Moxie and used Luthor as your fall guy. Peia calls Lex the devil himself. He's the only person in the world who scares me. I can tell you about a dozen crimes worse than Moxie. He was a monster before he went to prison. Setting him free would be the biggest mistake of your life. Lois pleads for the truth. Peia says thanks for visiting, Lois. Don't come back.
**Michael Cudlitz is already cast as Lex - do you expect to get the vibe Peia describes? We only have 3 episodes left after today, so it would seem Lex would be the villain of Season 4. If we get season 4.
The party. Sarah hands Jordan a cup. Can you not do the sad boy thing right now? He doesn't like that she's being nice to George Jr. She tells him to get over himself. He wishes he never fell in love with her. She says that makes two of us.
Gov. says it'll take a while to recover. Lana tells her about their plans to make it faster. Gov says it's a great little community. Lna's trying to do her best. You're succeeding. Gov was cheated on by her ex. But strong women don't need those losers. We'll fix this state up pretty quick. She wants rhubarb pie. Follow me.
Candice doesn't know where her dad is. How's the fire station? Jon says fine. Mr. Cushing wants me to take a break for a bit. He doesn't want to talk about it.
Jordan watching Sarah. Then heads to Jon and Candice, and past. Hears something. Police coming. Kids start running. Sarah and George speed out. No lights on. Are they following us? Don't think so. We're good. She turns on the lights to see a deer. And spins and rolls the car! They land outside the vehicle. I think a guy with powers just saved our lives. Jordan made sure she saw that, the dumbass.
**And.....this is why teenagers shouldn't have super powers. Can't handle the responsibility.
**Good job, Sarah, wrecking the car your dad gave you. Her parents don't have the money to replace it.
Investigation of the crash. Kyle asks what the hell were you thinking? Dept is going to charge her with a DUI. Kyle promises this won't happen again. Jor. says somebody saved us. There was this blur, then we were on the side of the road. There was a guy, and he vanished. Sarah covers. I have no idea what he's talking about. Kyle asks for a description.
Lois and Clark. He loved hanging out with his mom at their age. She says our job as parents is to put ourselves out of a job. She tells him Peia won't confess. Matteo arrives. Sam asks if it's okay to send him in. Lois asks for a few more minutes.
Jordan calls for Clark. He tells him George might've seen me. I had my goggles on. Clark says it's okay. Then asks why do you smell like beer? Jordan tells him about the party. Clark tells him to get up to his room. RIGHT NOW.
Lana and the gov in the diner. The governor mentions a dealer of psychedelics. Chrissy listens and says you can't be talking about Diamond Dave Carlson? HEH. Kyle comes in. Gov. asks who's that? The mayor's ex-husband. Then she asks Chrissy why she stood before Lana did.
Kyle tells Lana what Sarah did. Sarah will be released into our custody. Lana needs a moment.
Gov asks if that's Mayor Lang's daughter. Is it? Chrissy's trying to cover.
Lana comes back inside and tells the governor she's sorry for needing to go. Governor starts whispering with her aide. Chrissy tells her Lana is a fantastic mayor.
Lois and Peia. Lois starts using the mother angle. What will he remember about you? You've hidden so much from him. He must have so many questions. Peia never wanted him involved. Lois says Matteo deserves the truth. Be the example he needs. Peia says I can't. You can. No. Not without seeing him. It's important he hears it from me first. Lois says then you'll tell me everything? Then send him in. Peia wants the restraints off so she can hug Matteo. He comes in. Hi, Mom.
Lana's house. Sarah says I wasn't planning on driving. Lana chews her out. Sarah knows she messed up. Kyle says what if something happened to you? The two of you should be dead. Sarah says Dad thinks someone rescued us from the crash. Junior saw somebody. Something happened out there, I know it did! Lana covers, too. He doesn't want to be around either of them right now, and storms out.
Peia is pround Matteo figured out how to tie his bowtie. He says it wasn't easy. None of it is. She wants him to know the truth. He says I talked to Dad. He told me everything. I know what he's been working on. The cure. She says your father's desperate. Matteo says it works. That's why I'm here. He uses his cufflink to dose her. Dad said it wouldn't take long to work.
Clark tells Lois that Jordan is grounded for 2 weeks. He doesn't know where Jon is. Hears a car pull up. Goes outside and yells at Jon. Jon says I drank water. Your brother was drinking. Jon says there's no way I'd be drinking and driving. But you lied to me about the party. Jon says we were trying to not hurt your feelings. We can't just wait around for you to have free time. I hadn't seen Candice in a month. It's not how it works. Can I have my keys back now? Thank you.
Sam tells Lois to get that confession now Matteo left. Lois goes in again. I'm glad you got to see Matteo. Now you'll tell me about Lex. Peia says that was before...before I got better. You're going to help me get out of here, Lois. She stands off the bed and starts vibrating.
**poor Clark. He so wants to be a good dad and teens are difficult. He'd probably have an easier time being a Girl Dad. Boys tend to lean toward their moms.
Take me out of here. Then she blasts the glass. Take me out of here. Now! Or I'll bring this building down.
Clark can't reach Lois. Kyle arrives at the house. Is Jon here? I need to talk to him about Sarah. Clark doesn't understand.
Jordan tells Jon that Kyle thinks you have super powers.
Lois and Peia reach the door of the control room. Lois pleads with her. Peia wishes things were different. Sorry, Lois. She blasts the room. Puts all of them on the ground.
Kyle insists Jon has powers. Clark says you're wrong. Kyle insists. Clark hears the problem at the DOD. You need to leave. I have to go! Boys rush out. Kyle's insistent. Clark says no it wasn't! Go home, Kyle. I'l explain tomorrow. Then he flies off.
Superman listening. Where is the danger? Peia. He arrives to see the mess. Lois tells him Peia is gone.
Matteo waiting with his father. Peia comes downstairs. Matteo rushes to her. Family hugs. You did it. We did it.
Mext ep - Nat still loves Matteo. Sarah and Jordan at odds. Sam tells Superman Peia needs to be stopped before she brings down a whole block. Chrissy and Kyle. Superman hurries to the Peia problem.
